Guild lottery
Dear fellow guildies, As you have seen in the guild message, there is a Life Begins Guild Lottery. How does it work ?
I have installed an addon called “guild-lottery” . This is a simple small lightweight addon, which creates lottery tickets.
If you want to join the lottery, just look at the ingame calender for the date and time of the event. The addon creates an event. Details are there. The price for the tickets can be changed. For now i put them on 10g each, with a limit of 20 tickets per person.
If you want to be part of the next draw, send akadrood the amount according to the tickets, 50g = 5 tickets.
I will add your name to the list, and you will get a whisper with the ticketnumbers, no need to write m down, the addon will take care of it.
The more people will buy a ticket, the higher the jackpot will be.
When the time of the draw is there, i just press a button, and the addon will draw a ticketnumber, and creates a guildmessage with the name of the winner, and the amount won. I will then send the gold per ingame mail to the winner.
Simple as that !

ELECTION SPECIAL!
All over the UK, elections are being held to vote for Tom, Dick and Harriet.
But here in Life Begins there’s only one election that matters, and that’s the one between Bell and Rhi, aka Mooshine. Who will be the right man to lead us forward into the coming months and years?
The choice is yours.
Election Details
The election is held under a “one member, one vote” system, and the candidate with the greatest number of votes will win. I as outgoing GL will not vote, except in the event of a tie.
You vote by sending an email to me at myusername@googlemail.com (Insert my username. It’s in the comment box below.) The email should contain only two items, your choice for new leader, and one of your character names. Note only one vote per person, not per toon. Please do not elaborate on your reasoning etc. Get in and get out.
There are two candidates:
Bell
Rhi (aka Mooshine)
Voting closes at 23.59RT on Saturday 7 May, and the result will be announced shortly afterwards.

IT’S TIME FOR CHANGE
Hi there Life Begins guildie!
Two years ago I and a couple of others now gone got the idea to start a guild of responsible adults, free from wow drama and conflict. This we succeeded in doing, and it’s been a pleasure and even a privilege to be your guild leader all this time.
Now I wish to stop being guild leader, for health and personal reasons.
But we have a lovely group of members here, and it would be tragic to throw this away. So I hope and trust that someone will come forward to take over the reins and lead us on to new and better things.
Accordingly, I ask any member who is prepared to be GL of Life Begins to state this in the comments below, before 23.59 RT on May 4. This is open to all, regardless of current rank.
If there is only one candidate, then he or she will become GL at that time.
If there is more than one (hopefully), then we will hold a small election next week, starting on May 5.
If there are no names forthcoming, then I will have no option but to disband the guild at the time stated above. So you see, it’s entirely up to you, dear member. I’ve done my part.

Well Christmas is here again, and I hope everyone’s having a good time, and not getting too drunk (nowt wrong with that).
Also did everyone get the pressies they wanted off Santa? I know I did.

As some ya may know I made a ally worgen hunter on Blade’s Edge, unfortunatley for LB im loving playing the worgen, I know i said I wouldnt neglect my Belf “Nemesiswayne” Hunter, but the worgen is too difficult to put down, so I might not be on for a while.

Cataclysm hits The Guardian
Hi Life Beginners!
Just a quick link to point you to a Guardian interview with WoW Chief Project Manager J Allen Brack. (The Guardian is one of the big three quality UK newspapers and has an award-winning website.) The comments are especially interesting, with a range of views, for and against Warcraft. However there seems to be agreement that you should find and join a guild of sensible adults. A guild like ours, in other words.
Having already done that… get out there and enjoy your expansion! Me, I’ve taken a week’s holiday so as not to miss one minute of the fun. I plan to achieve Realm First in Taking It Easy.
